Why This Summit
Ohio ranks among the worst states in the nation for infant mortality โ and Black infants die at nearly 3x the rate of white infants. Fathers are a missing piece of the solution. This summit brings together providers, community leaders, and Day One Dads to change that.

A Note from the Founder
Why this summit matters
"Fathers are not a footnote in infant vitality work. They are a strategy."
For years, we have watched Ohio carry one of the highest infant mortality rates in the nation. We have sat in rooms full of data, plans, and good intentions โ and too often, the conversation around fathers stopped at 'engagement.' We are building something deeper than that.
Our Dads2B program was created because we believe a father's presence, voice, and partnership begin on day one. This summit is our invitation to create a space and a platform that celebrates dads and the role we play in reducing infant mortality across Ohio.
I am strongly convinced that when our fathers are supported and when they have the resources necessary from day one, we will see our families improve, birth outcomes improve, and our communities improve when fathers are in their rightful places. Day One Matters โ and we need you there.
